Sooraj Abraham, Secretary of Plan@earth, presented the Green Certificate Award to the Principal of Global Public School, exchanging it for paper waste contributed by the school. Additionally, Plan@earth provided 33 packets of A4 sized paper as part of their COPPER project (Collection of paper, plastic, and recyclables).
In alignment with World Environment Day, Dr. Ranjini Krishnan, a Kochi-based researcher, entrepreneur, and the acclaimed producer of the National Award-winning documentary “A Pestering Journey,” delivered a talk highlighting the adverse effects of chemicals on the environment, particularly their role in desertification.
To mark World Environment Day and its theme “Land Restoration- Desertification and Drought Resilience,” Global Public School has organized a month-long series of events aimed at raising awareness. Activities include marine installations by students using ocean plastic provided by Plan@earth, tree planting sessions involving both students and faculty, as well as competitions such as dance, quiz, wall art painting, poster collage, photography, essay, poem writing, and upcycling crafts from trash to treasure.
