It was double the celebration and joy as Global Public School joined the rest of world in celebrating World Music Day and International Yoga Day on June 21st.

Distinguished music composer, playback singer and keyboardist, Mr. Bijilal, graced the celebrations and enthralled the students and teachers of GPS with his melodious voice. Mr. Bijialal who was accompanied by his son on the keyboard, endeared everyone with his warm and affectionate demeanour. He inspired the students with his charming speech and spoke about the importance of meditation, music and the Upanishads, reminding us that life in a universe without music is unthinkable. Mr Bijilal was felicitated by Ms. Saritha Jayaraj, Principal of the school.

The school choir performed peppy numbers in English, Malayalam and Hindi, transporting everyone into the magical realm of music and rhythm.

In tandem with this year’s theme “Yoga for Humanity”, Mr. Ajay Joseph, staff of the school demonstrated some spell binding asanas. The energetic yoga-based dance performance put up by the students was also highly appreciated
