The World Scholar’s Cup Kochi Round 2026 concluded successfully at Global Public School, bringing together 199 students representing 11 school delegations for two days of academic competition, collaboration and intellectual engagement.

Held under the 2026 theme, “Are We There Yet?”, the tournament featured the signature World Scholar’s Cup events—Team Debate, Collaborative Writing, Scholar’s Challenge and Scholar’s Bowl. The competition provided students with opportunities to explore diverse perspectives, demonstrate critical thinking and collaborate with peers in an engaging academic environment.

Global Public School served as the host venue, welcoming scholars, educators and volunteers from participating schools. The event was marked by enthusiastic participation, spirited discussions and a strong sense of camaraderie among the young scholars.

Speaking after the event, Mr. Edwin, Outreach Manager for the Kochi Round, appreciated the smooth and efficient conduct of the tournament and acknowledged the support extended by the host institution. He particularly commended the leadership of Principal and Dean Mr. Dilip George, highlighting the school’s effective coordination and support as significant contributors to the successful execution of the event.

The Kochi Round concluded with an awards ceremony honouring outstanding student performances. Qualifying students will progress to the Global Rounds of the World Scholar’s Cup, with the journey culminating in the prestigious Tournament of Champions at Yale University.
