On the occasion of India’s 75^th Independence Day, students of Global Public School, Ernakulam, got together to display their colours of patriotism.

Around 500 students from Grades 1-5 formed the tricolour holding coloured paper, in the school lawns, invoking a sense of pride in the nation in the beholders.

After a poignant flag hoisting ceremony on August 15, students celebrated the nation’s freedom fighters and martyrs in a special assembly.

School Principal, Ms Saritha Jayaraj quoted examples from history, urging the youngsters to honour the vision of the martyrs and serve the nation with commitment.

The celebrations culminated with rendering of patriotic songs, depiction of the freedom struggle with tableaus, showcasing of our rich heritage with dance performances, speeches by students etc.
