GPS Students Complete Everest Base Camp Trek — A Historic Milestone

Global Public School, Kochi, has achieved a remarkable feat as 14 students (9 boys and 5 girls) from Grades 8 to 12, along with a teacher, successfully completed the iconic Everest Base Camp trek on May 13, 2025 — reaching 5,364 meters above sea level. This marks the first time a school team from Kerala has accomplished this challenge. The two-week Himalayan expedition, organized in partnership with Re-Live Adventure, was the result of two months of intensive training in fitness, nutrition, mental conditioning, and team building. The journey tested students against harsh terrains and high altitudes, fostering resilience, teamwork, and self-belief. “This experience reflects the core of our educational philosophy — bold, transformative, and deeply human,” said Mr. Dilip George, Dean & Principal. The team returned to Kochi on May 18, carrying with them lifelong lessons in endurance, leadership, and the power of dreaming big.
