Various acts of kindness and benevolence by the students of Global Public School, Ernakulam, won them the ‘Nalla Padom’ certificate for the academic year 2018-19 This is the third time in a row that the school receives the certificate.

The students of the school have always been active in selfless acts such as distribution of relief materials and medicines during natural catastrophes as well as rebuilding houses affected. They engaged in making Chekutty dolls to help salvage the small-scale weaving industry affected by the floods in 2018. The ‘Fistful of Rice’ initiative, Swimathon, street plays to educate the public against the evils of plastic, painting exhibitions for charity, Kids4Kochi, Pupil Leaders Action Network were some of the other ventures of Global Public School.

The ‘Nalla Padom’ certificate is bestowed by Malayala Manorama for the school that best engages in altruistic activities in the district.
