Teacher Training Workshop by CSpathshala
CSpathshala, an Association for Computing Machinery supported by ACM, Google and TCS, conducted a one day workshop at Global Public School to train teachers in modern computing curriculum, emphasizing on problem solving and computational thinking skills.
Vipul Shah, Principal Scientist, Tata Consultancy Services, Pune and Head of ACM India CSpathshala Initiative explained the layout of the curriculum, the need to teach differently and explained the difference between teaching computers and teaching computing.
Mr Shekhar Sahsrabudhe (President Systems Lts), ACM India COO elaborated on the ACM India K-12 Education Initiative.
30 teachers from around 10 schools in the city attended the workshop aimed at ‘Bringing Computational Thinking to Schools’.
