JUNE — MONTHLY THEME Environmental Awareness
“The Earth Does Not Belong to Us — We Belong to the Earth.”
Every June, nature sends us a gentle reminder — in the rustle of leaves, the first drops of rain, the morning birdsong outside our classrooms. But are we truly listening?
At Global Public School, Environmental Awareness is not just a theme for the month — it is a way of life we are choosing to build, one action at a time. Our planet is not inherited from our ancestors; it is borrowed from our children. What we do today will determine what tomorrow looks like for them.
This month, let us move beyond awareness into action. Switch off that extra light. Say no to that plastic straw. Plant a sapling. Pick up a piece of litter — even if it isn’t yours. Walk or cycle when you can. These are not small acts. Together, they are a revolution.
To our students: You are not too young to change the world. In fact, you may be the only ones who can. To our parents and staff: Model the change you wish to see — children learn from what they witness, not what they are told.
Let this June be the month we stop just reading about climate change and start writing a different story — one where Global Public School leads with green hearts and responsible hands.
The Earth is counting on us. Let us not let her down.
With hope and purpose,
Dean & Principal, Global Public School
