Celebrating our Decennial Year by Reaching out
Global Public School has always championed social responsibility and believes that no celebration is complete without helping the less fortunate and hence began its decennial celebrations by organizing social outreach and community welfare programmes in and around Ernakulam on Monday 18th July 2016. Around 300 students of the school engaged in various acts of kindness to spread cheer befitting the celebrations.
Students of different grades embarked on Clean up drives at Marine Drive, Tripunithura Railway Station and Chottanikara Bus Stand.
With the intention of reaching out to the less fortunate, a section of the students visited and spent quality time with the inmates of Providence Home, Kizhakkambalam and Cancer Centre Perumbadappu and distributed essential items amongst them.
The students upheld their civic responsibility by conducting Traffic Awareness Campaigns by holding placards at important and busy locations in the city such as Vytilla and Medical Trust Hospital Junction etc.
A street play “Puzhaparayum katha” on the Conservation of Rivers was enacted at Marine Drive and link road Junction, Kochi to educate and enlighten people on the adverse effects of water pollution. As part of the Tree for Life campaign, some children planted saplings at Don Bosco, Vaduthala.
