Global Public School, Thiruvaniyoor (GPS) in collaboration with Plan @ Earth had initiated a programme to rebuild houses for flood affected victims of Kerala in 2018. In 16th January 2019, the school had handed over the keys of the first house to Ms. Khadeeja of Chathankode, near UC College, Aluva.

On 4th March, our students handed over the keys of the next house to the family of Mr. Karim and Mrs. Febina Karim of Alangad Panchayath. The family had lost their house in the deluge in August and were living in a make-shift shed since then. The three children of the couple were overjoyed at their new 600 square feet house.

Mr. Sreekumar Kartha, Dean and Principal of Global Public School, Mr. Mujeeb Muhammed, President of Plan @Earth, and Mr. Sooraj Abraham, Secretary of Plan @Earth, were present at the function along with the students and staff of GPS.
