GPS International Student Secures National First Place at Oxford Big Read 2025


GPS International is proud to announce the outstanding achievement of *Kalyani S Nair, a student of Class VII CLS, who has secured First Place at the National Level of the Oxford Big Read 2025, organised by Oxford University Press.

The Oxford Big Read is a prestigious reading and creative response competition that encourages students to engage deeply with literature from a curated Oxford University Press book list and present their understanding through age-appropriate creative tasks.As part of the competition, students were required to read a selected title and complete a creative activity aligned to their level. For her category, Kalyani was assigned the task of writing a critical review of the book she read, detailing the *title, author, genre, setting, and main characters, along with creating a *hand-drawn sketch of her favourite character.

Kalyani chose to review the literary classic Pride and Prejudice, demonstrating exceptional insight, clarity of thought, and originality in both her written analysis and creative illustration. Her work stood out for its depth of understanding, expressive articulation, and thoughtful interpretation of the text.In recognition of her exemplary submission, Kalyani was awarded First Place at the National Level, and her work has now been *shortlisted for consideration at the Global Level of the Oxford Big Read 2025.
