A  Hoop-A-Thon was organized in association with Team Rebound (a fraternity of professional basketball players from Kerala) on 20th January on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of basketball. The Hoop A Thon was conducted simultaneously in 125 schools across Kerala with around 12500 students participating in the event. The Hoop-A-Thon is a fun take on basketball wherein participants attempt maximum free-throws for a three or five minute period. 

Chief Guest, Mr. Gulam Abbas Moontasir, former Indian Basketball Player and Arjuna awardee inaugurated the session in the presence of distinguished guest, Mr. Philip Mathew, Managing Editor, Malayala Manorama; President of Team Rebound, Mr. Mohammed Iqbal; International basketball players, Mr. Unwin Antony, Mr. C.V Sunny, Ms. Leelamma and Mr Subhash Shenoy as well as other dignitaries.
