From the Epicentre of Activity!
It sure has been a long time since I promised to keep you in the loop of action at school…but you know I was so busy being part of the excitement that it just didn’t feel right to stop and explain what was so good about it!
From Montage to Valedictory, From NBA Basketball to Winning Interschool Basketball, from having an Art Attack Day, to celebrating Onam traditionally – it’s been a real three months of GREAT learning.
So what are we looking forward to now….well Middle School and High School gear up for their Summatives and the CIE board students gear up for their boards next month.
Yet in the midst of all that we find small happy spaces….Sep 10th saw the beginning of the Hindi week. Apart from a flawless assembly conducted in Hindi, the school has been plastered with Proverbs and pithy sayings in Hindi with English translation of course. Grade 8 went a step further with Bhojan Utsav i.e., a food festival showcasing North Indian food. Mouthwatering sweets competed with delicacies like Parathas, Bhelpuri, Aloo Tikki and many more yummy snacks that just had to be eaten and ENJOYED. A big thanks goes out to all the parents who made this a successful event! I am told that the Hindi Dept has many more things in store for us.
Last week saw us competing at St. Theresa’s and walking away with the first prize in French singing and a second in Salad making. Many more events are around the corner and I am sure we will go all out and bring home the glory!
But mid-September will find us head over heels in something even more enthralling…The first ever edition of Classic Cup…One game one Goal ..FOOTBALL …As schools from across Kerala join us, GPS grounds will see The versatile footballer Mr. I.M. Vijayan and Mr. Pradhyumn from Leapstart as Guests of honour who will spend time with all participating teams.
We look forward to all of you as spectators from September 13 to 15 and some raucous cheerleading, please!
