The End is upon us! It is just mysterious how the days have passed. It seems just like yesterday that all of us were setting up the lists, airing the classes and writing up our plans in anticipation of the young bundles of energy that were set to storm past the school gates on re opening day.And now,  it’s already time for us to bid adieu to this academic year.

Yet like the poet Edward Fitzgerald wrote,“Whether we wake or we sleep,Whether we carol or weep,The Sun with his Planets in chime,Marketh the going of Time.”,

we are indeed on the final days of 2012-13 learning year, and if I may say so, one of the most eventful years ever!
..and GPSites are gearing up  to bid farewell with a bang! Unlike other times when schoolmates finish exams and take off  on solitary trips this year we will all be ringing out the new year in style. The last day of Exams , 22nd March  will find us gathered together for Swarlaya – a grand musical evening with none other than Mr. Stephen Devassy, the world renowned composer, pianist and keytar player.

Mr Devassy, has a large repertoire of work that includes working alongside Mr. A. R. Rehman, Ustad Zakir Hussain and Ustad  Amjad Ali Khan. He is also the second Indian to perform with  London Philharmonic Orchestra. He will be  in harmony with the young musicians of global public school. This “Swarlaya”  will expose our students to one of the best musical talents in the country and also serve as a fundraiser for our upcoming school Auditorium (we hope that this will be a reality by the 1st week of June 2013)

If that is not exciting enough, the family members of GPSites are also welcome to join in for the magical evening at GPS grounds.Slated to begin at 6:45 pm, this is one school event where every GPSite is looking forward to be a part of.  The entry vouchers will admit 4 people, can be collected from the Class Teachers or from the School Office. Looking forward to meeting you on 22nd March !
