STEM Exhibition -Rube Goldberg Machine

A First of its kind exhibition in Kerala was held in the school, with the aim to celebrate creativity and break the notion of science being boring. As part of its association with DiscoverEd, India’s premier science program, the exhibition was held in the school on Friday, 15th January 2016 showcasing some select Rube Goldberg machines made by students of grade 6-8.

A total of 382 students, from grades 6- 8, collaborated to create 70 original contraptions in a 2 month long process- from ideation, planning, sourcing materials to actually creating and testing.

The exhibition with focus on the creative and fun side of science, was conducted with the intention to encourage children to think out of the box, to invent, challenge their surroundings and learn best through experience as making a Rube Goldberg Machine requires both high creativity and critical thinking skills.
