Venue: Virtual Meet (Zoom). Hosted by Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Kanpur
Date: Dec 22, 2021

Hosted by Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Eunoia is the latest Round Square event to have been attended by Global Public School students, with the set this time comprising of GPSites from CBSE, GPS(I) and IB:- Aman Ali, Anaanya Susan Mathew, Anagha Sujai, Avanthika S Kartha, Meera Rajeev and Shane Sarosh. Students from grades 9 to 12 across multiple countries were divided into different teams (or Barazas — interactive sessions where the discussions were held) to talk about topics related to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals: Partnerships for the Goals. 96 students from 16 schools were divided into six themes related to Goal 17, viz., Cooperation, Unity, Collaboration, Fraternity, Partnership and Teamwork.

The opening ceremony was mainly speeches beginning with an address by the principal of Jaipuria School and ending with the eye-opening keynote speech and presentation by Dr Paritosh Basu where he talked about the Humane & Ethical Dimensions of Digital Transformation and brushed on its role in sustainability.  After the closure of the opening ceremony, the delegates were split into their respective breakout rooms based on the six themes for a 1.5 hour conversation on how togetherness on an international level is essential for the fulfilment of Goal 17. Starting with a game of scribble to break the ice, the baraza session in each breakout room had around 5 questions which were deliberated upon by all the delegates in the team.

The event concluded with small speeches by one member in each group, with several GPSites being chosen/volunteering to summarize the events in the Baraza, provide their feedback and voice with their thoughts about the session. It was a memorable experience for all of us.
