Football Frenzy hits GPS as we launch the 1st ever edition of the Classic Cup – an inter-school tourney for under-12 in Kerala, on Sep 14-16, 2012. 16 teams from Kerala, 240 participants and the whole of GPS raucously cheering on from the sidelines.

The Classic Cup is being conducted in association with Leapstart.
The tournament begins on Sep 14 at 9:00 and will be inaugurated by Mr Pradhyumn, Head Coach of Shillong Lajong Football Club and will see Football Champ, India Captain, Mr I.M. Vijayan giving away the prizes on Sep 15.

Besides the Classic Cup being given away, the Fairplay Award, Best Goalkeeper Award and the Nimble Foot Award will be up for grabs.

The Finals will be at 3:00 pm on 16th Sept 2012

Al-Ameen School won the inaugural Classic Cup Tournament. They beat the worthy warriors of Navy Children School 4-2! Global Public School came in Third. FairPlay Award: Vidyodaya School, Best Goalkeeper: Jerrin Jolly (GPS), Nimble Foot Award: Manu Paul of Rajagiri Christhu Jayanthi, with 5 Goals, Player of the Tournament: Rahul Rawat (Navy Children School)
